CGCI Dues

...must be paid by November 1

 

All dues are payable on July 1 and delinquent on November 1.
Dues shall be payable to CGCI and mailed to the membership chairman who shall transfer the funds promptly to the treasurer.

The membership of CGCI consists of 5 classes:

Garden Clubs:
Garden clubs shall pay annual CGCI dues of one dollar twenty-five cents ($1.25) per capita, which shall include dues to NGC (fifty cents.) This is a voting membership. District dues are separate and payable directly to the district at the amount set by the district.

Associate Plant Societies:
Associate plant societies shall pay annual CGCI dues of one dollar twenty-five cents ($1.25) per capita, which shall include dues to NGC (fifty cents.) This is a voting membership. A club or associate plant society shall pay state dues for all members, including life members.

If dues (both CGCI and district) are not paid by November 1, clubs and associate plant societies become ineligible to purchase insurance and may not paraaaticipate in the awards program.

Affiliates:
Annual dues for affiliates are fifty dollars ($50.00) regardless of size. Affiliates are not eligible to participate in the insurance program.

Life members:
Life memberships are honorary, non-voting memberships. They require a one-time fee. The proceeds from Life Memberships supports the scholarship program. A "Life Membership "does not relieve a club from paying state dues for state life members.

New clubs, associate plant societies and affiliates joining CGCI between January 1 and June 30 shall pay one half of of the annual dues for the period up to June 30 which are due July 1 and delinquent November 1. They shall be ratified at the winter board meeting or the pre-convention meeting and shall be entitled to representation at the convention.

Youth Gardeners:
Each category of youth gardeners shall be sponsored by a garden club or district, registered annually with both appropriate CGCI and NGC chairmen and the members shall have all privileges of CGCI except the right to vote and hold office. All categories of youth gardeners shall pay no dues to CGCI. Membership dues to NGC,
including dues for youth gardeners, and dues to Pacific Region shall be paid annually from the general fund. For more information about the Youth program, please click here.
