Instructions for recommending an

Award of Merit in Landscape Architecture

This award is presented by the California Landscape Design Council in recognition of excellence in land use on a commercial, public or residential project.  This award is given only to landscape architects, upon the recommendation of a council member (but others may propose candidates to council members).  A brief description of the project should state name, address and owner of the project, and include photographs and/or site plan.

To recommend this award, please complete the enclosed application, and submit the minimum attachments listed on the application form (submission of additional information is optional).

Non-council members should submit this application to any member of the Landscape Design Council (who will attach supporting justification or concurrence with the nomination).  Council members should submit this application directly to the Council Chairman:

Please submit requests at least one month prior to desired presentation date.  For awards to be presented at convention, your request must be received by February 1, as this information will be conveyed to the State Awards Chairman and will be included in the annual Awards Book.  Please do not schedule an awards presentation or publicize the proposed award until the Council advises you that the requested award meets Council criteria.
