Landscape Design Consultants
Make a Difference

NGC Landscape Design Consultants have many opportunities to make a difference in their communities.  Possibilities abound to present landscape design programs and workshops on a multitude of subjects depending on a Consultant's particular area of interest and expertise.

Landscape Design Consultants can recommend Awards of Merit for landscape architects in recognition of excellence in land use.  They can also recommend individuals or groups for Certificates of Commendation for landscape design where good land use is evident throughout the landscape design AND Certificates of Appreciation, Recognition, and/or Achievement for individuals or groups demonstrating outstanding skill in land use or enthusiastic support for the NGC Landscape Design program. The California Landscape Design Council wishes to recognize worthy projects by issuing these awards.

In order for the Council to identify exemplary projects, we need to enlist YOUR help in locating any outstanding examples in your neighborhood, community, or city.  These can be residential, commercial, or civic.  This is your opportunity to publicly honor a group or a person who has helped make your area of the state more attractive through the use of the principles of good design.

The Landscape Design Council can grant an UNLIMITED number of the above awards based upon worthiness and the recommendation of our INDIVIDUAL Consultants.  The required form is brief and easy to fill out, and the documentation is minimal (often just pictures of a project).

The project will be evaluated by Consultants or other qualified persons designated by the LDC Chairman.  After the award has been approved, the person who made the recommendation will be notified and the LDC Chairman will notify the recipient/s of the awards.  Following that, the honoree may be invited to receive the award at the appropriate meeting or convention.

So, please support the Council in its endeavor to promote, recognize and publicize exceptional land use and landscape design.  Application forms and instructions are available by contacting:
