Here
are the answers to some of the questions most frequently asked about CGCI
garden clubs. If your question is not answered here, please email us directly
and we will respond as soon as possible.
How do I find a garden club in my area?
Answer: Local newspapers, garden supply stores, plant nurseries, public
gardens and friends may often know of a club in your area. The listing
of CGCI districts and clubs on this site may be helpful. And of course,
you may contact CGCI directly and we will send you the name and address
of the club nearest you.Send an email to our Membership Chairman, George
Speer at membership@cagardenclubs.org
Is
it expensive to be a member?
Answer: No. Most garden club members like to spend most of their money
on their gardens! Membership dues are generally very affordable.
Must
I be an expert gardener to feel comfortable?
Answer: Again, NO! Garden club members are some of the most generous people
on Earth. They love to share their knowledge, experience and cuttings
with anyone who is interested. If you would like to learn about about
gardening in your area, it makes sense to learn from the people who do
the most gardening there.
If I have a specific garden question, will you
answer?
Answer: Your local garden club members are the best source of information
regarding your garden. They know the local climate, soil, and other factors
that affect plants and vegetabes in their area. Garden club members can
give you first hand information. There is
no garden club in my area?
How do I start one?
Answer: Contact us! We will be glad to give you all the advice and support
possible to enable you to interest other local gardeners in forming a
club. Robin Pokorski, will be glad to help you find the help you need. Email RobinP@juno.com
